PagesHope grew up in West Central Pennsylvania. She earned a small cello scholarship at West Virginia University where she earned her B.S. in Secondary Education in Biology and General Science. “Ms. Hope” taught secondary science in pubic schools in Pennsylvania and Maryland for 8 years and coached varsity high school swimming for 2 years at her high school alma mater. In between her teaching experience she worked in sales and marketing in the pharmaceutical industry in the North East. Now she resides in Florida. She wrote and illustrated, Rojo, The Baby Red Panda at the Zoo
She home schools her daughter in addition to focusing on encouraging parents and teachers to use stories and bilingual songs to guide the next generation through this blog and web page. She holds a Florida State Teacher’s license where she completes annual home school evaluations in person or virtually. She also occasionally teaches private violin, piano, cello, swimming and tutors various academic subjects such as hand writing, writing, reading, math, and science all within her philosophy described in the mission statement to put into practice what she writes.
